Born in the Ayrshire mining town of Glenbuck, Shankly enjoyed a successful career as a player before being appointed Liverpool manager in 1959. Leading the club to huge success both domestically and in Europe, Shankly is credited with instilling a winning mentality which would see Liverpool go on to become one of the most successful clubs in English football. With the resistance smuggling in explosives from Shanghai in order to bomb Japanese strongholds, Lee is tasked with exposing the leaders before they can orchestrate the attacks. However, after tracing the operation to an antiques shop run by Kim Woo-jin (Yoo Gong), Lee soon faces a crisis of identity as the charismatic Kim senses an opportunity to use the Japanese agent for his own gain.
