Yasuzo Masumura directs these two Japanese thrillers. 'Black Test Car' (1962) stars Hideo Takamatsu. Set in the midst of a war between two car manufacturers, the Tiger Motorcar Company and the Yamato Company, the story unfurls as undercover spies infiltrate both sides.<br/><br/>Also included is the English language version of the film, 'The Black Report' (1963).

Young marketing executive Yôsuke Nishi (Hiroshi Kawaguchi) is eager to impress his boss, Goda (Hideo Takamatsu), at World Caramel, and recruits 18-year-old Kyoko Shima (Hitomi Nozoe) to be the face of the company's new advertising campaign. Sonoko (Kyouko Kishida) a housewife, bored with her workaday existence, enrols in an art class to fill her days. There, her lascivious paintings of the young model Mitsuko (Ayako Wakao) make her the talk of the place. Soon, the paintings lead to a sweltering lesbian love affair between the two and neither of their male lovers is very happy about it - setting off an explosion of passion, fury and murderous desire. A wildly controversial film upon its 1964 release, it retains the ability to shock even today with its graphic portrayal of sexual love on both sides of the line.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

The plot deals with a young woman abused by male society who exacts a gruesome revenge. Otsuya (Ayako Wakao) is a young woman of some breeding who is abducted into service at the Geisha house of Gonji. This leads to a less than favourable run-in with some highly unsavoury male characters the likes of which a girl of her breeding has never seen. When deranged 'irezumi' (tattoo) artist Seikichi (Gaku Yamamoto) get his eyes on her, he thinks he has found the canvass he's been looking for all his life. With the greatest care and using all the skills he has at his fingertips, he needles a huge spider tattoo on her upper back - a tattoo being the ultimate affront to Japanese society. Gradually, Otsuya finds herself morphing into a low-class predator in the mould of the ones who have brought her to this, and starts taking her deadly revenge on male society, using her fine looks to lure them into her web of carnage.<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray</i>
