I ett episkt äventyr regisserat av Jon Favreau (Iron Man) får vi möta människovalpen Mowgli, som har vuxit upp hos en flock vargar i djungeln. Han hamnar på en fängslande resa mot självinsikt när han plötsligt tvingas bryta upp från det som dittills varit hans enda hem.
