Tio år har passerat sedan maskinerna som styr framtiden skickade en Terminator till jorden - med uppdraget att mörda den ofödda John Connor. Uppdraget misslyckades och idag är John 10 år gammal. Ben Stone (Michael J. Fox) is an ambitious East Coast plastic surgeon who leaves his home in Washington for a life of riches in California. On the way West he crashes his car in the small town of Grady, and is resentfully obliged to stay there whilst his vehicle is being repaired.<br/><br/>As the town doesn't have a doctor, Stone is soon roped in for medical help, and finds himself strangely enjoying the simpler pleasures of small-town existence.
