Satyajit Ray directs this Indian drama exploring the personal conflicts of a man's professional career. Shyamalendu (Barun Chanda) is an ambitious and successful export manager at a British-owned fan manufacturer in Calcutta, with a good chance of being promoted to the company's board of directors.
