"Waves was born from a journey-physical, emotional, and existential. Burnt out and disillusioned, I left everything behind, wandering through Europe with no plan. In Barcelona, I began writing freely, untethered from expectations. The songs reflect that rawness, shaped by moments of solitude, heartbreak, and discovery. A ten-day fast in total darkness forced me to confront myself, leading to an acceptance of life's cycles-ups and downs, light and dark, all one. The album captures that rhythm, interwoven with sound collages from my travels-prayers in Essaouira, blacksmiths in Porto, street singers in Spain. It's a time capsule of experience, a signal sent out into the void. If you're listening, maybe it found its other half. Life is a wave-ride it, survive it, and remember: it's just a dream, just the play of light on water."
