Following a heated argument about their future together, the pair get caught up in a chaotic scramble outside Seoul train station after a homeless man turns into a bloodthirsty zombie and triggers a mass outbreak which quickly sweeps through the city. Now separated from Ki-woong and with her father Suk-gyu (Seung-ryong Ryu) also out looking for her, Hye-sun must battle through waves of the undead in a bid to get to safety and reunite with those closest to her. Finally, in 'Train to Busan Presents - Peninsula' (2020), set four years after the first film, former soldier Jung Seok (Dong-Won Gang) and his team of Korean refugees venture into the port city of Incheon on a mission to recover 20 million dollars from an abandoned truck.
