He then starts a bodyguard service and is quickly hired by Reiko (Mari Atsumi) who wants protection from the local yakuza, but Kiba soon realises that she has not been entirely honest with him. In 'Bodyguard Kiba: Deadly Triangle Jump' (1973) Kiba is imprisoned after seeking revenge on the man who blinded his sister Maki (Etsuko Shihomi). Knowing that bandits are planning to attack their village after the coming harvest, its inhabitants hire a group of seven samurai to protect them. Led by Kambei (Takashi Shimura), the group includes four hardened warriors, Kambei's new disciple and Kikuchiyo (Toshirô Mifune), the orphaned son of a farmer who is posing as a samurai and is determined to prove his worth. The samurai begin arming and training the villagers as well as fortifying their homes as they prepare for the coming attack, fully aware that the odds are stacked against them. Domineering Dr Niide (Mifune), known as 'Red Beard', is responsible for training new doctors, among them the lazy and socially ambitious Yasumoto (Yuzo Kayama). In 'No Greater Love' (1959) Kaji struggles to deal with the harsh reality of forced labour and is enlisted into the army in order to remove his dissenting presence from the camp where he works. In 'Road to Eternity' (1959) Kaji leads a group of new recruits as they are attacked by the Soviets. Vastly outnumbered and outgunned, the Japanese suffer huge casualties, leaving a demoralised Kaji to look for any survivors. Finally, 'A Soldier's Prayer' (1961) follows Kaji as he attempts to lead a band of injured soldiers and refugees away from the war zone. However, with no food or shelter and with advancing Soviet forces all around, Kaji and his group of survivors are captured and taken to a Soviet labour camp for interrogation.<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray / Box Set</i>
