'The City of Lost Children' (1995) is set on a futuristic oil rig, where a man, Krank (Daniel Emilfork), has aged prematurely because he has lost the ability to dream. To reverse the ageing process he kidnaps children from the local harbour town so that he can steal their dreams. Though a pacifist at heart, Manouchian joins the underground resistance in desperation, along with a group of young hothead emigres from around the world. Initially the Germans rely on the French police to quell the insurgents, but after the murder of a high-ranking general they step up the pressure on Manouchian and his fellow partisans, who are portrayed in Nazi propaganda as 'the army of crime'.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>
