Meanwhile, when Biff Tannen steals the DeLorean so that he can return to the 1950s and make his younger self rich, he creates an alternate timeline in which Marty's father has been murdered... Finally, in 'Back to the Future Part III' (1990), Marty travels back in time to 1885 to rescue Doc Brown from a fatal showdown with Biff Tannen's great-grandfather.
