Set in Middle-Earth 60 years before events in 'The Lord of the Rings', 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' (2012) follows the adventures of Hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who, at the instigation of the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen), suddenly finds himself co-opted into joining a company of 13 Dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) to help reclaim the Dwarves' lost kingdom of the Lonely Mountain from the clutches of a dragon. After setting out on their quest from the safety of Bag End, the band of travellers soon find themselves pitted against a range of strange and fearsome opponents, in addition to a small, slimy creature known simply as Gollum (Andy Serkis). In 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' (2013), while Gandalf heads south on his own, Bilbo, Thorin and the Dwarves enter the treacherous Mirkwood Forest on their way to the mountain. When they reach Lake-town Bilbo has to perform the role he was assigned at the start of the quest - to find a secret door that will lead him to the lair of Smaug the dragon (voice of Benedict Cumberbatch). In the final instalment, 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' (2014), Bilbo, Thorin and the other Dwarves have unintentionally released Smaug from the Lonely Mountain and endangered the residents of Lake-town. Bilbo has to make a difficult decision when Thorin puts his desire to find the royal jewel Arkenstone before his loyalty to his friends. Meanwhile, Gandalf discovers that the evil Sauron has returned, commanding a horde of Orcs to attack the Lonely Mountain. Bilbo and his friends must fight for their survival as five armies meet in battle. In 'Jurassic Park' (1993) eccentric scientist John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) plans to open a theme park on Isla Nublar populated by live dinosaurs which have been genetically engineered from DNA found in a preserved prehistoric mosquito. Archaeologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) are invited to view the park along with chaos theory expert Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), only to find themselves being hunted when the dinosaurs break free. The sequel 'The Lost World: Jurassic Park' (1997) is set four years later on the neighbouring Isla Sorna where the dinosaurs for the park were bred. John Hammond contacts Ian Malcolm and asks him to visit the island to document the dinosaur activity. When he learns that his girlfriend, paleontologist Dr. Sarah Harding (Julianne Moore) is already on the island, he agrees to go, not realising that a rival expedition is on its way with plans to capture the dinosaurs and transport them to the mainland. 'Jurassic Park III' (2001) sees Alan Grant approached by Paul and Amanda Kirby (William H. Macy and Téa Leoni), a wealthy couple who want a guide to escort them on a flight over Isla Sorna. Grant agrees to take the flight but as soon as they are over the island, the couple attempt a landing. Grant discovers that their son is lost on the island and they are desperate to find him but when a dinosaur attack disables the plane, the rescue party finds itself stranded and at the mercy of the island's prehistoric inhabitants. 'Jurassic World' (2015) is set 22 years after 'Jurassic Park' (1993) when Isla Nublar is reopened as a theme park. In order to boost attendance, operations manager Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) asks the park's geneticists to create genetically modified hybrid dinosaurs, the latest product of their experimentation being the Indominus rex. But when the Indominus rex escapes and begins killing other dinosaurs for sport, it's left to park staff member and behavioural researcher Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) to save the park's inhabitants. In 'Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom' (2018), the Jurassic World theme park now lies in ruins and the dinosaurs of Isla Nublar have been left to roam freely on the island. However, with a massive volcanic eruption threatening their existence, Claire Dearing recruits Owen Grady and the two return to the island in a bid to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from the impending disaster. With time running out, the pair soon find their plans complicated further when they uncover a conspiracy which could put the future of the world at risk. In 'Jurassic World: Dominion' (2022), dinosaurs now live alongside humans all over the world. Owen Grady and Claire Dearing are joined by Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm to try to determine whether the two species can live together in peace. Finally, 'Jurassic World: Rebirth' (2025) is set five years later when most of the world's surviving dinosaurs have settled in remote tropical regions. Mercenary Zora Bennett (Scarlett Johansson) is recruited by a pharmaceutical company to obtain DNA from three different species of hybrid dinosaurs to further life-saving and lucrative medical research. Three years later, Englishman Jonathan (John Hannah) discovers an ancient artefact which he gives to his sister Evie (Rachel Weisz). In turn, she trades the artefact for Rick's release from prison and the trio set off for Hamunaptra, hoping to arrive there before Beni (Kevin J. O'Connor), Rick's crooked former associate. However, Beni has already invoked a curse which frees Imhotep (Arnold Vosloo), a supernaturally-gifted mummy aiming to sacrifice Evie in a bid to resurrect his former lover Anck Su Namun (Patricia Velasquez). In 'The Mummy Returns' (2001) Rick and Evie have now settled down to married life in London with their eight-year-old son Alex (Freddie Boath). Meanwhile, the British museum is playing host to the corpse of Imhotep, the mummy which had previously given Rick and Evie such a hard time. When ancient magic brings Imhotep back to life, a chain of events is set in motion that will lead to the end of the world, thus forcing Rick and Evie to spring into action once again. Finally, in 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor' (2008) the action moves to China, where for 2,000 years, the ruthless Chinese Dragon Emperor (Jet Li) and his vast army of warriors have been frozen in time, cast in clay, waiting for their moment to rise again. When young archaeologist Alex O'Connell (Luke Ford) is duped into bringing the ancient warlord back to life, he soon realises he has to call in the only people he knows with experience and knowledge of how to battle the undead - his parents Rick and Evie (Maria Bello). As the emperor attempts to reunite with his massed warriors and finally fulfil his dream of world domination, Alex and his family, along with mystical sorceress Zi Juan (Michelle Yeoh), have to pull out all the stops to keep the evil tyrant from achieving his ends.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

When a freak accident leads to the death of Cummings, Dancer decides to assume his identity and takes up the role of Marshall in the town of Lanyard, Kansas. However, he and his fellow intern Sophie Pettingel (Wilde) soon begin to realise that the CEO, Humphrey Wells (Christoph Waltz), has his own agenda, which is disrupting the magical world. He flees with his half-brother Victor Creed (Liev Schreiber) and they become soldiers, fighting in the American Civil War, both World Wars and the Vietnam War together, but Victor is becoming increasingly violent and uncontrollable. Major William Stryker (Danny Huston) offers them both the chance to join Team X, a black ops team comprised of mutants, and James adopts the name Logan but soon decides to leave the team.
