The outbreak of the Second World War sees nine-year-old Willie Beech (Nick Robinson) evacuated from London and billeted with crotchety widower Tom Oakley (Thaw) in the village of Little Weirwold. Willie is a sad little boy who has not had a happy or easy life, but he and Tom gradually warm to each other, and a strong friendship develops between the pair. Written and directed by Neil Marshall, 'The Descent' (2005) follows six female friends on a caving expedition. When the passage behind them collapses, the group are trapped in an unexplored cave system. As they attempt to locate a way out, they discover a den of human and animal bones and are attacked by a race of murderous humanoid creatures who have adapted to live in the darkness. Desperately fighting to survive, will any of them escape? In the sequel, 'The Descent: Part 2' (2009), after Sarah Carter (Shauna MacDonald) is rescued from the Appalachian caves where several of her friends perished, she is made to go back and help to try and locate any other survivors. Sheriff Vaines (Gavan O'Herlihy) is not wholly convinced by Sarah's version of events, especially with regard to the creatures she claims she and her friends encountered in the caves, and so he insists on the expedition. However, it soon becomes clear that every awful thing Sarah told him was true...<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

After trekking deep into the forest, the group lose their map, quickly become lost and are forced to spend extra days trying to find their way back out. Confronted by terrifying noises and with strange artefacts appearing around their camp, panic sets in as the students are driven further into the woods by an unseen and sinister force. In 'Blair Witch' (2016), college student James Donahue (James Allen McCune), accompanied by a group of friends, ventures into Maryland's Black Hills Forest in search of his missing sister who disappeared 20 years earlier while searching for evidence of the Blair Witch. After an uneventful hike deep into the woods, the group begin to feel a menacing presence in their camp as the night draws on.
