The feature follows Micky as he retraces the unusual events of his adult life in which he had an affair with the notorious Soviet Union communist spy Guy Burgess and later developed an adoration for Nazism and Adolf Hitler, who signed his copy of 'Mein Kampf' in 1936. But after changing his opinion of the party he volunteered for the independent companies and fought against Germany in the Second World War where he was captured as a prisoner of war during the St. Nazaire Raid and imprisoned in Colditz Castle. Following his eventual release at the end of the war he was credited with saving the life of a six-year-old Audrey Hepburn, began working as a reporter for The Times and became a committed Marxist.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

Treadwell lived unarmed among the bears for 13 summers and filmed his adventures in the wild during his final five seasons. In October 2003, Treadwell's remains, along with those of his girlfriend, Amie Huguenard, were discovered near their campsite in Alaska's Katmai National Park and Reserve. They had been mauled and devoured by a grizzly, the first known victims of a bear attack in the park. Herzog plumbs not only the mystery of wild nature, but also the mystery of human nature as he chronicles Treadwell's final years in the wilderness. Herzog uses Treadwell's own startling documentary footage to paint a nuanced portrait of a complex and compelling figure while exploring larger questions about the uneasy relationship between man and nature.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

In 'To the Island of the Aye-Aye' Durrell takes a film crew to Madagascar to capture one of the endangered creatures so he can establish a breeding programme to ensure its survival. In 'Jambo the Gentle Giant' John Nettles narrates the story of Jambo the gorilla, a resident at Jersey Zoo, which was founded by Durrell.
