Vissa konserter är så minnesvärda att de blir en del av rock'n'rollens folklore. När Gary Moore klev upp på scenen under Basel's Baloise Session den 13 november 2008 var det ett verkligt engångstillfälle, där ett av bluesrockens största namn visade upp sig på en av världens mest respekterade scener. Ingen i publiken den kvällen anade att den store irländske bluesmusikern var nära slutet. Men när Moore gick bort drygt två år senare, endast 58 år gammal, fick konserten en extra sorglig innebörd och lever kvar i minnet hos dem som var där.<br/><br/>Some shows are so momentous, they pass into rock 'n' roll folklore. When Gary Moore stepped onto the stage of Basel's Baloise Session on November 13, 2008, it was a true one-off, showcasing one of blues-rock's biggest names on one of the worlds respected stages. Nobody in the crowd that night suspected the great Irish bluesman was close to the end. But when Moore passed away little over 2 years later, aged just 58, the show took on added poignancy, kept alive in the memories of those who attended.<br/><br/>Now, more then 15 years later, the release of Live From Baloise Session on Artone/Provogue resurrects the much-missed Irishman, bringing his blazing talents back into the spotlight, catching the sparks of that night, and bottling a performance that stands amongst Moore's very best. This official release is coordinated and selected by the Gary Moore estate to keep his legacy alive.

On October 28, 2013, blues-rock star Joe Bonamassa will release Tour De Force - Live In London on Provogue Records (a division of Mascot Label Group), an unprecedented live concert event unfolding over four DVDs and four Blu-rays recorded and filmed at each of the four iconic London venues which he has previously played: The Borderline, Shepherd's Bush Empire, Hammersmith Apollo, and the Royal Albert Hall. <br/><br/>The sold-out concerts, which saw over 12.000 fans in attendance, chronicle Bonamassa's atmospheric rise from the intimate club environment of The Borderline, to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. Every individual evening was marked by a particular theme - his early trio years, the blues, rock and roll, and an all encompassing set at the Albert Hall - and every setlist, arrangement and ensemble was designed to fit in with the evening's prescribed theme providing the viewer with four different and unique performances. Each corresponding disc in the set features a different selection from over 60 songs played from his extensive catalogue - some having never been performed live - with a different and unique band configuration to highlight the diverse elements of Bonamassa's style. <br/><br/>About the Borderline show:<br/>This 200-seat club in the heart of London was chosen to stage a revival of Bonamassa's early career power-trio jam nights. Joe Bonamassa hyllade sina brittiska blues-hjältar på en kort 5-dagars turné i Storbritannien. Denna inspelning gjordes på Greenwich Music Time vid The Old Royal Naval College i Greenwich, London den 7 juli, 2016.<br/> <br/>Den brittiska bluesen är den musik som mest kommit att influera Joe Bonamassa. Redan vid unga år fastnade han för den råa och skitiga musiken som spelades i Storbritannien i mitten av sextiotalet. Särskilt fastnade han för de egensinniga och innovativa gitarristerna och då framför allt de tre tungviktarna Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck och Jimmy Page. Han hyser den djupaste respekt för vad de har åstakommit. <br/> <br/>Joe Bonamassas kärlek till den brittiska blues-rocken är själva hjärtat i all den musik som inspirerat honom och för första gången fick han tillfälle att visa sin aktning och respekt för alla dessa artister men främst då Clapton, Beck och Page.<br/> <br/>I femmannabandet ingick Michael Rhodes (bas), Reese Wynans (klaviaturer), Anton Fig (trummor) och Russ Irwin (kompgitarr och stämsång).<br/> <br/>Joe Bonamassa anser det nödvändigt att lyfta fram dessa fantastiska musiker för framtida generationers bluesartister. "Om det inte vore för dessa brittiska bluesmusiker så skulle nog inte bluesen haft den stora inverkan på rockmusiken som den har idag och skulle kanske rent av förpassats till historieböckerna," säger Bonamassa.

The concert was recorded at the historic Vienna Opera House July 2012 during a very special two-week long unplugged tour, played to a limited audience over seven exclusive European shows. Varying from Bonamassa's predominantly electric blues shows, this presentation was an all-acoustic concert performance, making it a unique and very special show fans had been waiting years to experience.<br/><br/>The Opera House in Vienna, regarded as the "City of Music," was chosen for the main event because of its history and splendour, and association with many legendary composers. Accompanying Bonamassa on the same stage once graced by Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Mahler, and Haydn are traditional Irish fiddler Gerry O'Connor, who also plays mandolin and banjo; Swedish multi-instrumentalist Mats Wester on the nyckelharpa, a keyed fiddle; Los Angeles-based keyboardist Arlan Schierbaum texturing the mix with celeste, accordions, toy pianos, and assorted "organic" instruments; and renowned Puerto Rican percussionist Lenny Castro.<br/><br/>Joe recalls, "Originally, when I had the idea of doing an all-acoustic concert, I imagined doing it solo. I'd surround myself with a bunch of guitars, tell the background story of each song, and then play it. Kevin believed the show would be more exciting with a band and he got to work. All of a sudden, we had a five-piece group, and 72 hours to rehearse 20 or so songs. It was amazing, different than anything I'd ever done before." <br/><br/>An Acoustic Evening at the Vienna Opera House features gorgeously textured music made with a wealth of rare, vintage, organic, and "oddball" instruments. Highlights among the 22 songs include "Woke Up Dreaming"-the one acoustic song, and fan favourite, that Bonamassa regularly plays during his electric shows- as well as "Around The Bend," "Driving Towards The Daylight," "Ball Peen Hammer," and "Sloe Gin." <br/> <br/>The show is produced by Kevin Shirley, whose productions have been at the top of the charts for decades, including works from Led Zeppelin and Iron Maiden to Beth Hart and John Hiatt.<br/><br/>"To say this was a challenge is an understatement," said Bonamassa. "To say this was a departure from anything I had ever done before is an even bigger understatement. I can say with full certainty that it was the most enjoyable tour I have ever done. On this tour I really learned the virtues of my singing lessons over the years. Take away those long guitar solos, all that sustain and that big Gibson sound and what is left leaves you no option but to dig deep and sing until you can't sing anymore."
