Volume V follows on five years after their fourth album For Your Love, a record lovingly nurtured but then swallowed up by the Covid pandemic. The title signifies the latest chapter in the ongoing story of Other Lives, their fifth record of magnificent musical and emotional depth. The majority of Volume V was recorded in The Sheerar, a former church that is now the Stillwater History Museum. The Sheerar’s acoustics partly accounts for the album’s more cathedral-esque take on Other Lives’ signature sound, which has the roots in a form of Americana but expanded via classical and post-classical forms, and the influence of iconic composers such as Ennio Morricone and Henry Mancini.

Kerala Dust’s new album, An Echo of Love, is a dynamic blend of art rock, electronica, and Americana, reflecting constant change and musical experimentation. The album’s fluidity is mirrored in both its shifting lineup - adding keyboardist Tim Gardner and drummer Pascal Karier - and its diverse recording locations, including Tuscany, Austin, Berlin, Zurich, and Rome. Lead member Edmund Kenny describes the album as capturing a state of mind, shaped by his personal experiences, especially after a tumultuous period following the band’s 2023 tour. The band blends cerebral and visceral elements, combining techno, Krautrock, and punk influences while staying true to their unique identity. Rather than focusing on a specific genre, the album reflects the band's evolving sound world, questioning if the music feels authentic to their essence. The album marks a significant point in Kerala Dust’s journey, suggesting that their transformative path is just beginning.

Dropkick Murphys will release a 12" vinyl split LP with recent tourmates Haywire titled New England Forever. The Boston-based bands--who got to know each other while touring Europe together last fall--each recorded three original songs as well as a cover version of one of each other's songs for the 8-song LP. Haywire recorded Dropkick Murphys' "The Boys Are Back" and Dropkick Murphys recorded Haywire's "Always By My Side."

The album will also be reissued on white vinyl, which offers the CD album track ‘Faith’ on vinyl LP for the first time. The record has been cut from the original analogue tapes at Abbey Road.
