The Sound of Difference and Connection emerges from Maya Dunietz's research into the irrational midpoint of the octave, a resonance zone where two close frequencies generate slow acoustic beatings and a third, emergent tone. Developed with Berlin's Solistenensemble Kaleidoskop, the work divides the octave into fifteen unequal parts, placing musicians in a continuous process of attunement. Instead of tuning to fixed pitches, players adjust their physical proximity to shape the pulse: closer to slow it, farther to quicken it. The piece unfolds as a fragile, collective resonance that often feels as if it rises from the air itself. Kashaiof is the project of interdisciplinary artists Eyal Lally Bitton and Itzik Gil Avizohar, exploring the boundaries of electroacoustic composition through modular synthesis, ultrasonic feedback, field recordings, acoustic instrumentation, and fractured song structures. Drawing from musique concrète and elektronische musik, their latest album Days unfolds through repetitive post-industrial rhythms, folk chants, quaking synthesis, and enigmatic sound objects that gradually crystallize into dense emotional landscapes. Following the acclaim of Home (2020) and MA (2022), Days further expanded the duo's recognition. The Quietus described the record as "something strange and new, something special," while PopMatters praised its "spectral amalgamation of styles" and "fragile, ephemeral electroacoustic sculptures." Emerging from a place of vulnerability and longing, Days meditates on the transformative and unstable nature of sound itself.

Karkait's debut LP, 'To All That Cannot Be Undone', marks a radical transformation for the trio following their last acclaimed releases. Once emerging through a volatile fusion of grindcore, black metal and hardcore, the experimental trio now stretches their language into slower, stranger and more expansive territories, seamlessly morphing between metal, folk, musique concrète, free improvisation and sonic abstraction. Written across fragmented geographies and recorded during an isolated residency in southern France, the album reflects a band shaped by distance, exhaustion and dispersion. Violent eruptions, rusted drones, scorching guitars and breathing growls, constructing a body of sound that feels both deeply physical and strangely disembodied, where grief, pressure and disorientation linger in between.
