NNA is proud to announce the release of "Preamble," a recording of new compositions by Qasim Naqvi. Perhaps best known for his work on drums in the modern acoustic trio Dawn of Midi.

We're excited to welcome New York City-based composer and performer Lea Bertucci back to NNA for a brand new full-length, 'Metal Aether.' Lea's early 2017 cassette release 'All That Is Solid Melts Into Air' focused on her role as a composer, with a hand-picked selection of talented musicians performing her acoustically conceptual compositions. 'Metal Aether' instead showcases her role as a performer, revealing four pieces that represent approximately 3 years of ideas and gestures for alto saxophone and magnetic tape. Expanding on 2014's 'Light Silence, Dark Speech' as well as 2015's 'Axis/Atlas,' 'Metal Aether' develops a language of extended technique for alto saxophone that is based on a spectral, psychoacoustic, and non-linguistic approach to the instrument.

The sophomore album from Kalbells, illustrates the formidable love Kalmia Traver discovered with her touring band turned bandmates. The result is Max Heart-ten vibrant and subtly layered tracks of mesmerizing psychedelic synth-pop. NNA is honored to bring you new music from New York-based songwriter, musician, and visual artist Alice Cohen. 'Artificial Fairytales' is the artist's 6th full-length solo album, joined now by The Channel 14 Weather Team (Adrian Knight and David Lackner) on additional instrumentation. Cohen's extensive and diverse career in music has formed her work into the unique breed of sophisticated pop that it is today, utilizing synthetic funk, club-like atmospheres, technical compositions and inventive production to create a sound that is both vintage and modern simultaneously, fitting in seamlessly with the current wave of underground New York City art pop.
