SPIN<br/><br/>Nashville-baserade psych-rockkvartetten All Them Witches är tillbaka med nya albumet "Sleeping Through The War". Plattan innehåller åtta nya låtar producerade av Grammyvinnaren Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell) och följer upp fjolårets hyllade "Dying Surfer Meets His Maker"<br/><br/>Byggstenarna på "Sleeping Through The War" är de samma som gjort All Them Witches till kultfavoriter - mycket fuzz, tunga grooves och kosmiska visioner - men flera ur på vägarna på hemmaplan och i Europa (tre turnéer 2016!) och gjort bandet extremt tight och dynamiskt och även fördjupat låtskrivandet. <br/><br/>Soundet på "Sleeping Through The War" har inspirerats av vitt skilda favoriter som Dr. Johns "Gris-Gris", Sigur Ros, Kyuss och the East. "We wrote it in about six days", berättar gitarristen Ben McLeod. "Where in the past we would have just gone ahead and written and recorded in the studio, we were like nah we're going to do it with Dave, let's be prepared. It was real minimal, Dave didn't want us to get too crazy." Han tillägger, "We wanted a record you could crank. And we wanted girl backup singers." Alltså gästas plattan av Caitlin Rose, Erin Rae och Tristen.<br/><br/>Sångaren och basisten Charles Michael Parks sammanfattar: "We're trying to get to something better -- not necessarily just as musicians -- but as people. I've always said that as we change as people, our music changes, that's why we can never make the same records. I can't be in one of those bands. I hope you'll never hear 'another predictable album from All Them Witches.' There's no art in that."

Senast satt Buddy Miller upp en studio efter cruisen, bjöd in vänner, nyfunna och gamla, att spela in unika duetter. <br/><br/>Här finns elva unika samarbeten och de artister som medverkar, förutom Buddy och hans band är; Lee Ann Womack, Kacey Musgrave, Kis Kristofferson, Nikki Lane, Lucinda Williams, Richard Thompson, Elisabeth Cook, Shawn Colvin, Jill Andrews, Doug Seegers och Brandi Carlile!

Hiatt själv placerar "The Eclipse Sessions" vid sidan om två av sina bästa album - 1987 år "Bring the Family" (med Ry Cooder, Nick Lowe och Jim Keltner) och "Crossing Muddy Waters" från 2000. "The three albums are very connected in my mind", säger Hiatt. "They all have a vibe to them that was unexpected. I didn't know where I was going when I started out on any of them. And each one wound up being a pleasant surprise."

Time In The Sun is the 4th full length album from Charleston, SC band Susto. The album was written and recorded in the midst of a lot of life changing events for lead writer/singer Justin Osborne. Like everyone around the world, Osborne was navigating the global issues felt from the pandemic while normal life continued with its own blessings and challenges.. <br/><br/>"We were navigating the global and national issues that everyone else was dealing with, but also I became a father and also lost my father. There was a lot of contemplation going on in my brain, a lot of personal evolution going on in my life, and songwriting was my way of working through it all. The title Time in the Sun is meant to be a monument to my own human existence and also a tribute to the human experience in general. I wouldn't claim to understand what it means to be a human, from the countless different perspectives of the world, but I do have my own experience to reflect on and I want to be able to express and explain that in some way. I guess this album is an attempt at that. At the core though, it's just a collection of songs about my life and my feelings."
