For their second full-length album, Under My Umbrella, Miss Grit has lifted the lid on their internal world, lasering in on the anxieties and heartbreak of the past two years, following their acclaimed debut Follow the Cyborg. On this album, Margaret Sohn - aka Miss Grit (they/she) - channels the noirish atmosphere of classic trip-hop bands, while adding a hefty dose of maximalism and a dream-pop sensibility. The title is a nod to the iconic Rihanna song and embraces Sohn "...letting people in more on this record and trying not to shy away from that. I'm leaving the cyborg behind, I'm letting it all out." Under My Umbrella not only presents Sohn's gift for complex production, but also the boldness of finding your voice, and ultimately is about coming to terms with yourself, your imperfections, and your complex interior world.

Follow the Cyborg, the debut album from Korean-American musician and Mute&rsquo;s newest signing Miss Grit, moves towards deeper electronic sound and is a sonic leap forward for the artist, occupying a world of chaotic electronic experimentation and stirring electric guitars.Following the release of acclaimed EPs Talk, Talk and Impostor, Follow the Cyborg sees Miss Grit aka Margaret Sohn pursue the path of a non-human machine, as it moves from its helpless origin to awareness and liberation. Refined through relentless improvisation and live performance, as well as newly composed studio pieces, &lsquo;Birthing&rsquo; is a testament to Michael Gira&rsquo;s uncompromising sonic vision. Beginning as skeletal acoustic compositions, the songs were gradually expanded and transformed in the studio with longtime live members and collaborators.&nbsp;

The legendary Slovenian group's first original studio album since 2014&#039;s Spectre, MUSICK - intensely pop, yet intensely Laibach. This record simultaneously celebrates and critiques the current era of warped reality and AI imitation. The title reflects a duality: an oversaturation, being "sick of music" in an age where over 100,000 new tracks, many AI-generated, are uploaded daily, making us question reality; and a "pathological devotion" that continues to drive the band. The maximalist creation process in their Ljubljana studio involved analogue synths, toys, computers with sound apps, and collaborators like Donna Marina Mårtensson and Richard X. They drew influences from K-pop, J-pop, and 90s Eurodance, yet maintained that their primary influence and reference point remained Laibach itself.
