Modern Talking was a German duo consisting of singer Thomas Anders and arranger, songwriter and producer Dieter Bohlen, with the participation of Luis Rodríguez. The 5th album from MT follows in the same vein to the previous four. Ten tracks, two of them singles and the usual formula of euro-pop songs mixed in with a couple of ballads. The duo charted high with their single "Jet Airliner" from their fifth album 'Romantic Warriors'. Due to the split of the duo the commercially best single-pick from the album, the title track "Romantic Warriors" which has the catchiest MT melody ever never made it as the world hit it deserved to be.

'In the Middle Of Nowhere' is the fourth studio album by Modern Talking. It's truly very rare to find an album existing of top songs only, with one even better than the other. Even though the third album had more different styles of songs, this one is more coherent; all the songs are a little bit alike but that's what makes it truly unique. From the smash hit single "Geronimo's Cadillac", the gentle and sweet melody of "Riding On A White Swan" to poppy tracks like "Sweet Little Sheila" or "The Angels Sing In New-York City", you're in for a real treat. Before you realize how fantastic the songs are, you'll find your heart dance and your soul sing.

Portland's Quarterflash led by husband & wife Rindy and Marv Ross (they were originally called 'Seafood Mama') took the pop world by storm in the '80s with 3 Geffen albums and 3 top-20 singles; "Hadden My Heart," "Find Another Fool" and "Take Me To Heart." . Even though Quarterflash harbors a definitive '80s-pop sound, the rich saxophone and sulty vocals of Rindy Ross give this average-sounding chorus-and-bridge rock a slightly distinct edge. Their music may best be described as Blue Eyed Soul meets Pop Rock. Quarterflash certainly found a little niche with their distinctive infusion of jazz, funk, rock and sultry vocals. The song "Make It Shine" was included on The Gremlins soundtrack.
