Langhorne Slim's eponymous release features 13 new tracks, which were recorded at the Great North Sound Society in Maine. The album was produced by Langhorne's drummer Malachi DeLorenzo and Josh Ritter's keyboardist/producer Sam Kassirer, who also contributed piano, organ and accordion. On the recording of the album Langhorne states, "This experience in Maine with Sam, Malachi and Paul led us to our most comfortable, cohesive and soul-shaking music to date."Â? The song "Sometimes"Â? was produced and mixed by Brian Deck (Iron and Wine) at Engine Studios in Chicago. Additional players on the album include Paul Defiglia (upright bass), Dan Nosheny (tuba, trombone), Brian Deck (keyboards, assorted effects) and Jim Becker (violin).

Rampaging Oakland, CA metal quartet SAVIOURS recorded their new album in San Francisco's Lucky Cat Recording Studios with Producer Phil Manley (of Trans Am / The Fucking Champs). Set for an October 27, 2009 release date, SAVIOURS album ACCELERATED LIVING features "insanely dynamic"Â? songs boasting passages containing "three part guitar harmonies"Â?. The record will feature the forcible lineup of guitarist / vocalist Austin Barber, bassist Cyrus Comiskey drummer Scott Batiste and guitarist Sonny Reinhardt (ex-Watch Them Die), who joined the band in 2008. When asked for comment, Batiste asserted, "We just got back from ravaging Europe, playing the whole new album every night. With Sonny joining us, the tempos and guitar work have definitely been cranked up a few notches, though the heaviness is still intact. The new jams are road toughened and more killer than we could have imagined."Â?

You'll need a HAZMAT suit to withstand the filth pouring out of the smokestacks of Melbourne, Australia's ZOND, five figures playing in dense fog with mountainous hooks, hazy vocals and thunderous rhythms. Nearly obliterated by noise, the elements of black metal, shoe gaze, doom and epic rock collide with such force that it'll take tow truck tug-of-war to get them untangled and move onto the dental records of the ground-up souls within. Form collapses, then surges back up in defiance as Zond aims for the dirt and shoots lower, gigantic guitar statements eating dust like a spectral punishment for centuries of bad deeds gone unpunished. Brief moments of heroism ("Stupid Gods) rise up around and choke them off in a grey sea of excess. Now amplify these sentiments 100x and you've got what might be the loudest, most manic release in Kemado's history. No lead, no follow, and no get out of the way - this music is made to paste anyone who gets near it.

The main influence on this album was to go back to where Saviours started - Sabbath, Maiden, Motorhead, Thin Lizzy... The whole record is a trek through Earth's demise which everyone contributes to, oblivious or not. It's a procession toward death. The world has gone insane. Humans have become apathetic, greedy, self-centered, over-medicated, delusional parasites in a filthy, drained and deflated world. It's hopeless now, too far gone. Now we wait. That's what this record is about. Earth's possession and death's procession. Death's Procession was recorded by Phil Manley (of Trans Am and The Fucking Champs) at Lucky Cat in San Francisco.
