Ah, Les Vaches! is the 12th Bushman's Revenge album. The title means Ah, the cows, which supposedly were the dying words of the great composer, eccentric, and all around hero to the band, Erik Satie. The band started out in 2003, and made their first record 20 years ago. So yeah, it's been a minute! So what's new? Well, they have a New member, the one and only Tor Egil Kreken - bass player, session ace, and all 'round musician extraordinaire. The songs were mainly inspired by an assortment of friends, pets and other critters - living or otherwise. And we hope you'll take them for a spin, and in your own time, maybe even clap, sing or dance along to this ungodly racket! Please enjoy!"

Datadyr's new album "This We Know" is a more mature and confident outing from the young band. The band is still inspired by traditional American music like jazz, blues, bluegrass and folk but with a greater focus on songwriting and structure than their debut from 2022. The album also reflects an outsider's view on current events in the states, political and otherwise. It's easy to get caught up in the old romantic image of America, especially growing up in Norway surrounded by and idolizing American art and media. The current state of the nation is one far removed from that idealist view the band grew up with, and this album is about the process of realization and eventually accepting that a place that produced so much of what you love is now responsible for so much of what you hate. Leagus: Flora Eallin [2 Vinyl LP]

Solstein is not your typical 2020s fusion affair. A lot of inspiration has been taken from the funkier, more melodic end of the spectrum, with the band name-dropping The Crusaders, Idris Muhammed, early Bob James and 70s Herbie Hancock. Given some of the member's prog backgrounds, there are also echoes of the jazzier side of prog, like Camel, Happy the Man and some of the Canterbury scene bands. Holm-Lupo and Carlock's shared love of Steely Dan also shines through in a number of tracks. More than anything, though, Solstein is a playground for the musicians, where everyone was given free reins to do whatever they felt the music needed. If it put a smile on everyone's face, it was deemed right. The result is an album that is accessible yet adventurous, colourful, groovy and engaging.

Formed in 2015 by Nils Are Drønen, the 9-piece orchestra Whatever Happens Don't Be Yourself has from the start been an improvisational hotbed for both young and upcoming musicians and more seasoned players in the Bergen jazz scene. They are now set to release their 5th album, 'Tales of No Consequence'. Featuring members from Marie Boine band, General Post Office, Treverket, Jo Jo Mayer, etc. For fans of: Art Ensemble of Chicago, Charles Mingus, Alice Coltrane, Steve Reich, Wayne Shorter, Derek Bailey.

The Norwegian Jazz trio Bushman's Revenge mixes the energy of Rock with the freedom of Jazz in an exciting and exhilarating way. Formed in 2003, the trio (consisting of Even Helte Hermansen on Guitar, Rune Nergaard on Bass and Gard Nilssen on Drums) has had two decades in which to explore different paths and sounds, and in doing so, succeeding in creating a genre all of their own. Long out of print, we're repressing this gem of a record on solid red wax, to coincide with the release of their 12th album "Ah, Les Vaches!".
