In the Sign of the Ravens is the debut studio album by the Swedish Viking/Black metal band Mithotyn, originally released in 1997. Championed as a cult-classic of the early Scandinavian pagan metal scene, it features harsh vocals, folk-influenced melodies, and Norse mythology themes. Remastered by Nightside Audio (God Macabre, Skymning) and with new fantastic artwork by Kris Verwimp with respect to the original.

Four years after forming in Sweden and releasing several demos, Mithotyn's patience and hard work paid off with the release of their first full length "In the Sign of the Ravens" in 1997. This almost unheard-of band wasted no time recording their next record the same year and the result is "King of the Distant Forest", containing 11 tracks. Released in 1998, the band has more fully matured and developed their own sound. This album could be labeled many genres. Viking Metal, Folk Metal, Black Metal, Pagan Metal, whatever you want to call it, doesn't matter. The riffs are highly catchy and have a heavy, fast, melodic and definite folk influence to them. The vocals are quite Black Metal-ish and could best be described as high-pitched shrieks and growls. There is even a hint of Power Metal influence in the songs.

Intense razor-sharp Swedish Black Metal attack! Formed in Stockholm in 2016, Flykt emerged as an essential creative outlet for those involved and as a sign of defiance amid decay,operating from the periphery rather than the center. In 2019, the band released its debut full-length album, "Charnel Heart", through Folter Records. Later the same year, Flykt followed up with the two-track EP "Through the Earth and Through the Sun". Since then, Flykt has continued its work away from view, shaping the material for its second full-length album.
