New vinyl edition of the debut album by the legendary Popol Vuh. Cut at AIR Studios in London. With restored original artwork, also includes a poster. Originally released on the Liberty label in 1970, 'Affenstunde' (translated as 'Hour Of The Monkey') was one of the earliest albums to feature the use of a Moog synthesiser as a compositional tool. Florian Fricke's compositions possessed a unique otherworld-like quality which would influence successive generations of musicians. 'Affenstunde' was greeted with acclaim upon release and is now regarded as a landmark recording in the history of electronic and ambient music.

New vinyl edition of 'Einsjäger Und Siebenjäger', the classic 1974 album by Popol Vuh. Cut at AIR Studios, London. Regarded as one of the finest albums by the German collective helmed by musical visionary Florian Fricke, 'Einsjäger Und Siebenjäger' took its title from mythological characters in the Mayan manuscripts from which the band took its name. Recorded in Munich, the recordings featured Florian Fricke (piano), Daniel Fichelscher (guitars, percussion), Djong Yun (vocals) and guest flautist Olaf Kubler from Amon Düül II. Comprising five shorter pieces on its first side and the impressive, evocative side-long title track, the album is one of the most beautiful albums issued by Popol Vuh and is a fine example of their flowing compositional genius.
