The Clash were an English punk rock band that formed in 1976 as part of the original wave of British punk. The band are as important to that scene as the Sex Pistols or The Ramones. Along with punk, their music incorporated elements of reggae, dub, funk, and rockabilly topped with super hook lines and the necessary aggression.<br/> <br/>For most of their recording career The Clash consisted of Joe Strummer (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Mick Jones (lead guitar, vocals), Paul Simonon (bass guitar, vocals) and Nicky "Topper" Headon (drums, percussion). Headon left the group in 1982, and internal friction led to Jones' departure the following year. The group continued with new members, but finally disbanded in early 1986.<br/> <br/>Joe Strummer died in 2002. The Clash was inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.<br/> <br/>This documentary impresses with inside information and shows the rise and the fall - from huge success down to dismantling themselves. The DVD contains a host of previously unreleased material and interviews. On October 28, 2013, blues-rock star Joe Bonamassa will release Tour De Force - Live In London on Provogue Records (a division of Mascot Label Group), an unprecedented live concert event unfolding over four DVDs and four Blu-rays recorded and filmed at each of the four iconic London venues which he has previously played: The Borderline, Shepherd's Bush Empire, Hammersmith Apollo, and the Royal Albert Hall. <br/><br/>The sold-out concerts, which saw over 12.000 fans in attendance, chronicle Bonamassa's atmospheric rise from the intimate club environment of The Borderline, to the prestigious Royal Albert Hall. Every individual evening was marked by a particular theme - his early trio years, the blues, rock and roll, and an all encompassing set at the Albert Hall - and every setlist, arrangement and ensemble was designed to fit in with the evening's prescribed theme providing the viewer with four different and unique performances. Each corresponding disc in the set features a different selection from over 60 songs played from his extensive catalogue - some having never been performed live - with a different and unique band configuration to highlight the diverse elements of Bonamassa's style. <br/><br/>About the Borderline show:<br/>This 200-seat club in the heart of London was chosen to stage a revival of Bonamassa's early career power-trio jam nights. Armed with a Fender Stratocaster - Bonamassa along with a single drummer and bassist launched into a setlist marked with extended takes of songs from his first set of albums.<br/><br/>DVD 1 is the full concert and DVD 2 is bonus material.

It notably marked the event's return after a four-year break, selling out the iconic arena on both days. Once again, Clapton carefully assembled a powerhouse cohort of influential guitarists representing various eras and styles. The impressive lineup boasted Joe Bonamassa, Clapton, Gary Clark Jr., Sheryl Crow, Eric Gales, H.E.R., Christone "Kingfish" Ingram, Los Lobos, John Mayer, The Marcus King Band, Roger McGuinn, John McLaughlin, Santana, The Wallflowers, and many more. Not to forget, Bill Murray served as the evening's "Master of Ceremonies." <br/> <br/>Coming together, the set rotated between blues staples, American Songbook classics, and generational rock 'n' roll anthems shocked to life by this elite six-string consortium.
