In 'The Conjuring' (2013), when the Perron family experience strange goings-on at their farmhouse, they enlist the help of paranormal experts Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga). As they investigate, however, the couple begin to realise that, despite their expertise, they may not be equipped to deal with such a violent and foreboding evil. In 'Annabelle' (2014) Mia and John Gordon (Annabelle Wallis and Ward Horton) are terrorised by supernatural forces when John thinks he has found the perfect gift for his wife and unborn child, a rare vintage doll dressed in a white wedding dress named Annabelle. The family's joy however is abruptly ended when they are invaded and attacked in their home by members of a Satanic cult. The terror of that night is nothing compared to what follows as the cult conjure an entity which takes over Annabelle and transforms her into a malevolent force of evil. In 'The Conjuring 2' (2016) Ed and Lorraine are called in to investigate a series of unsettling events at a home in Enfield, London. The pair come to the aid of single mother Peggy Hodgson (Frances O'Connor), after she claims her two daughters are being tormented by an evil spirit. Not long after moving in to the house, the Warrens begin to experience some terrifying phenomena of their own, with the demonic entity seemingly intent on forcing them out. In 'Annabelle - Creation' (2017), after the death of their young daughter, doll maker Samuel Mullins (Anthony LaPaglia) and his wife Esther (Miranda Otto) invite a group of orphans and nun Sister Charlotte (Stephanie Sigman) to stay in their farmhouse after their own orphanage closes down. However, it soon transpires that the couple have welcomed the young girls to atone for inadvertently inviting a demon into their home, after mistaking it for the spirit of their daughter Annabelle. Now occupying one of Samuel's dolls the spirit proceeds to terrorise the girls as it tries to claim their souls. 'The Nun' (2018), set in 1952, follows Catholic priest Father Burke (Demián Bichir) and young nun Sister Irene (Taissa Farmiga) as they are dispatched by the Vatican to investigate the mysterious death of a nun at the Cârta Monastery in Romania. Upon arrival, they are met with a hostile reception as the malevolent entities occupying the monastery reveal themselves. As they work to uncover the secrets of the order, will they escape with their souls intact or will they be the next victims of the demonic nun? In 'Annabelle Comes Home' (2019) renowned demonologists Ed and Lorraine think they have finally contained the cursed Annabelle doll when they bring it home, have it blessed by a priest and lock it in a case of sacred glass. However, when the couple depart for the night, leaving their ten-year-old daughter Judy (Mckenna Grace) alone with teenage babysitters Mary Ellen (Madison Iseman) and Daniela (Katie Sarife), Annabelle continues to cause terror and acts as a beacon for the Warren's treasure trove of cursed artefacts, which, once awakened, set out to claim Judy's soul. Finally, in 'The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It' (2021), set in 1980s Connecticut, Ed and Lorraine Warren come to the aid of Arne Cheyenne Johnson (Ruairi O'Connor), a young man accused of murdering his landlord who claims to have been possessed by a demonic spirit. Believing the Johnson family was cursed by a witch, the Warrens are tested to their limits as they set out to prove their supernatural theory while attempting to convince the court of Arne's innocence.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD / Box Set</i>

'The Philosopher's Stone' (2001) sees Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) newly enrolled at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where he makes friends with Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson). When the trio unexpectedly discover a three-headed dog guarding a secret trapdoor, they begin to suspect that something important might be hidden beneath the school, and when they investigate it leads to an encounter with the evil wizard Voldemort (Ian Hart). Will Harry be able to keep up with his studies, lead his team to victory in the school sport Quidditch, and still triumph over the dreaded Voldemort? In 'The Chamber of Secrets' (2002), Harry, Ron and Hermione return to Hogwarts for their second year. Gilderoy Lockhart (Kenneth Branagh) and Pomona Sprout (Miriam Margolyes) have joined the staff and Harry and his friends soon find that once again all is not right at the school - pupils seem to be petrified, literally, and a monster is on the loose. In 'The Prisoner of Azkaban' (2004), the trio are now in their third year of wizarding school, but there is a shadow hanging over Harry: dangerous serial killer Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) has escaped from the Wizards' prison, Azkaban - and he wants revenge for the death of his master, Voldemort, who Harry defeated 13 years earlier. For Harry's protection, Azkaban has sent an army of soul-sucking Dementors to guard Hogwarts from a possible attack by Black - but they turn out to be as much of a threat to Harry as Black himself. As myth and magic combine to weave their dark spell, Harry uncovers a few more crucial secrets about his mysterious past. 'The Goblet of Fire' (2005) sees Harry board the train to Hogwarts School, where he will attend his fourth year of magical education. Shortly after his reunion with Ron and Hermione, Harry is introduced to yet another Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher: the grizzled Mad-Eye Moody (Brendan Gleeson). Of course, Harry's wishes for an uneventful school year are almost immediately shattered when he is unexpectedly chosen, along with fellow student Cedric Diggory (Robert Pattinson), as Hogwarts' representative in the Tri-Wizard Tournament, which awards whoever completes three magical tasks the most skilfully with a thousand-galleon purse and the admiration of the international wizarding community. In 'The Order of the Phoenix' (2007) Harry, now in his fifth year of study, discovers that much of the wizarding world has been denied the truth about his recent encounter with the evil Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes). Fearing that Hogwarts' venerable Headmaster, Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon), is lying about Voldemort's return in order to undermine his power and take his job, the Minister for Magic, Cornelius Fudge (Robert Hardy), appoints a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher to keep watch over Dumbledore and the Hogwarts students. But Professor Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton)'s Ministry-approved course of defensive magic leaves the young wizards woefully unprepared to defend themselves against the dark forces threatening them and the entire wizarding community, meaning Harry has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. Meeting secretly with a small group of students who name themselves 'Dumbledore's Army,' Harry teaches them how to defend themselves against the Dark Arts, preparing the courageous young wizards for the extraordinary battle that lies ahead. In 'The Half-Blood Prince' (2009) Lord Voldemort exerts his power over both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and, consequently, Hogwarts no longer provides the safe haven it once did. Suspecting that new dangers lie within the castle ramparts, Harry discovers a mysterious old book marked 'property of the Half-Blood Prince' and begins to unlock the secrets of Voldemort's dark past, aided by Ron, Hermione and new teacher Horace Slughorn (Jim Broadbent). Meanwhile, the sixth-formers grapple with teenage hormones as various romantic liaisons unfold between them, some more dignified than others. In 'The Deathly Hallows: Part One' (2010) Harry, Ron and Hermione, now no longer at Hogwarts, set out on a dangerous quest to uncover and destroy the lost Horcruxes, the secret behind Voldemort's immortality. Voldemort's power has now grown to unprecedented proportions, with the Death Eaters in control of the Ministry of Magic and under orders to find Harry and bring him to Voldemort - alive. Away from the protection of Dumbledore and Hogwarts, Harry draws ever closer to the moment for which he has been preparing since boyhood: the ultimate showdown with the Dark Lord. Finally, in 'The Deathly Hallows: Part Two' (2011), with Voldemort's domination almost complete, Harry, Hermione and Ron face a race against time to find and destroy the Horcruxes, thereby extinguishing the Dark Lord's power. In 'For Me and My Gal' (1942), performer Harry Palmer (Gene Kelly) deliberately injures his hand to avoid being drafted into the army. He starts a vaudeville act with fellow performer Jo Hayden (Garland) and they become determined to play The Palace. In 'Harvey Girls' (1945), mail-order bride Susan Bradley (Garland) heads out West and ends up working as a waitress for the Fred Harvey chain of restaurants and hotels. The Harvey house faces some stiff competition from the old-fashioned saloon over the road, but the saloon's gambling owner Ned Trent (John Hodiak) takes a shine to Susan. This draws the displeasure of Trent's long-time sweetheart Em (Angela Lansbury) which causes a clash between the girls. 'In the Good Old Summertime' (1949) is a musical remake of 'The Shop Around the Corner' (1940), set in a Chicago music store. Sales girl Veronica Fisher (Garland) corresponds through an anonymous pen pal service with Andrew (Van Johnson), who turns out to be the manager she detests. 'Love Finds Andy Hardy' (1938) stars Mickey Rooney as Andy, a man frantically trying to juggle two women, Polly (Ann Rutherford) and Cynthia (Lana Turner) at the same time. Could Betsy (Garland) be the one to help him out of his dilemma? 'A Star Is Born' (1954) is a remake of the 1937 classic, this time as a musical about a Hollywood couple going through bad times. Would-be singer Esther Blodgett (Garland) finds herself taken under the wing of fading star Norman Maine (James Mason) when she saves him from making a drunken fool of himself. Changing her name to Vicki Lester, Esther becomes a star, and is soon married to Norman. However, as Vicki's star rises, so Norman's falls. In 'The Wizard of Oz' (1939), a tornado whisks Dorothy (Garland) and her house from Kansas to Munchkin City, squashing the Wicked Witch of the East upon landing. The Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton) vows revenge, while Dorothy sets off on the yellow brick road to see the Wizard of Oz (Frank Morgan), hoping he can tell her how to get home. On the way she makes friends with a scarecrow (Ray Bolger), a tin man (Jack Haley) and a cowardly lion (Bert Lahr) - all of whom have specific reasons for wanting to meet the magical Wizard. With the Wicked Witch out to get her, will Dorothy ever get home again? Finally, in 'Ziegfeld Girl' (1941), former elevator operator Sheila (Turner), wife Sandra (Hedy Lamarr), and a vaudeville performer Susan (Garland) are three women following different paths in life, yet they soon share one dream: to become a Ziegfeld Girl.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD / Box Set</i>

Set in Middle Earth 60 years before events in 'The Lord of the Rings', 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' (2012) follows the adventures of hobbit Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman), who, at the instigation of the wizard Gandalf (Ian McKellen), suddenly finds himself co-opted into joining a company of 13 Dwarves led by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) to help reclaim the dwarves' lost kingdom of the Lonely Mountain from the clutches of a dragon. After setting out on their quest from the safety of Bag End, the band of travellers soon find themselves pitted against a range of strange and fearsome opponents, in addition to a small, slimy creature known simply as Gollum (Andy Serkis). In 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' (2013), while Gandalf heads south on his own, Bilbo, Thorin and the dwarves enter the treacherous Mirkwood Forest on their way to the mountain. When they reach Lake-town Bilbo has to perform the role he was assigned at the start of the quest - to find a secret door that will lead him to the lair of Smaug the dragon (voice of Benedict Cumberbatch). In the final instalment, 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies' (2014), Bilbo, Thorin and the other dwarves have unintentionally released Smaug from the Lonely Mountain and endangered the residents of Lake-town. Bilbo has to make a difficult decision when Thorin puts his desire to find the royal jewel Arkenstone before his loyalty to his friends. Meanwhile, Gandalf discovers that the evil Sauron has returned, commanding a horde of Orcs to attack the Lonely Mountain. Bilbo and his friends must fight for their survival as five armies meet in battle. In 'The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring' (2001) Frodo (Elijah Wood) is a hobbit living in the Shire, a quiet, peaceful part of Middle Earth. When it turns out that his elderly relative Bilbo (Ian Holm) is harbouring the ultimate Ring of Power and the evil Nazgul riders of Sauron are coming to find it, Frodo is entrusted by wizard Gandalf to deliver the Ring out of the Shire without it falling into their hands. Frodo leaves the Shire aided by his cousins Merry (Dominic Monaghan), Pippin (Billy Boyd) and trusty friend Sam Gamgee (Sean Astin), but they soon realise that the agents of Mordor are everywhere and that their trip is far from over. Once they reach the Elvish realm of Rivendell the hobbits form part of the anti-Sauron fellowship, which includes Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), Boromir (Sean Bean), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), Gimli (John Rhys-Davies) and Gandalf. Together they must battle across Middle Earth to destroy the Ring by casting it into Mount Doom, the fiery chasm in the centre of Mordor. In 'The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers' (2002) the Fellowship of the Ring has now divided and Sam and Frodo are lost in the hills of Emyn Muil. They are also being followed by Gollum, a creature who promises to help them travel to Mordor. Meanwhile Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli search for the hobbits Merry and Pippin in the Kingdom of Rohan, which is currently being attacked by Saruman's orc armies. Gandalf returns as Gandalf the White to remind Aragorn of his destiny to unite the people of Rohan with Gondor. Whilst the Fellowship is not travelling together they must unite against the powerful forces coming from the Two Towers: Orthanc Tower in Isengard where Saruman has bred a deadly army of 10,000, and Sauron's fortress at Barad-dûr. Finally, in 'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King' (2003), Gandalf manages to rally Gondor's fallen army with the help of King Theoden of Rohan (Bernard Hill) for the biggest battle in the history of Middle Earth. Meanwhile, Aragorn finally faces up to his noble responsibilities. Although outnumbered, Gandalf's army are determined to keep Sauron distracted in order to enable Frodo to complete his quest to destroy the Ring by throwing it into the fires of Mount Doom.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD / Box Set</i>
