After speaking with security advisor Günther Lause (Ivan Desny) Stiller is informed Vollmer was on the brink of a major discovery before his death. When Lause disappears and none of his employees acknowledge that he ever existed Stiller becomes deeply sceptical about the nature of reality. One girl is later found unconscious but alive, but the others are never seen again.
