Sir Georg Solti leads the orchestra and chorus in Verdi's 'Otello' (1992) which includes the performing talents of Plácido Domingo as the doomed title character and Sergei Leiferkus as his adversary Iago. Gounod's 'Romeo et Juliette' (1994) stars Roberto Alagna and Leontina Vaduva in the leading roles with the production led by conductor Charles Mackerras.
