Adapted from a novel by Georges Bernanos, the film revolves around the priest of Ambicourt (Claude Laydu), an insular, but religious young man, whose lack of social skills causes his alienation within the villlage. In 'Delicatessen' (1990), in a burnt-out city on the verge of collapse, a canny butcher (Jean-Claude Dreyfus) employs various young handymen, kills them, and then sells them as meat. When ex-circus performer Louison (Dominique Pinon) arrives looking for work, it seems that his head will be the next on the block. But Louison falls in love with Julie (Marie-Laure Dougnac), the butcher's daughter, and together they join forces with an underground vegetarian group who plan to bring an end to the butcher's cruel regime. 'The City of Lost Children' (1995) is set on a futuristic oil rig, where a man, Krank (Daniel Emilfork), has aged prematurely because he has lost the ability to dream. To reverse the ageing process he kidnaps children from the local harbour town so that he can steal their dreams. Finally, 'The Bunker of the Last Gunshots' (1981) is a short film about a group of soldiers living in a bleak futuristic world.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD / Box Set</i>

In the classic Ealing comedy, 'Kind Hearts and Coronets' (1949), young Louis Mazzini (Dennis Price) vows to take revenge on his family, the D'Ascoynes, when he learns how they disinherited his mother. Working his way into their trust, Louis begins to bump off his distant relatives (all played by Alec Guinness) one by one, but complications set in when Edith D'Ascoyne (Valerie Hobson), the widow of his first victim, falls in love with him. In 'Last Holiday' (1950), Guiness plays an agricultural salesman who finds out he has a short time to live. Taking a final holiday, he realises that he was actually a more interesting person than he allowed himself to be. In 'The Man In The White Suit' (1951), eccentric Sidney Stratton (Alec Guiness) is a laboratory cleaner in a textile factory, who invents a material that will neither wear out nor become dirty. Initially hailed as a great discovery, Sidney's astonishing invention is suffocated by the management when they realise that if it never wears out, people will only ever have to purchase one suit of clothing. In 'The Captain's Paradise' (1953), Guinness stars as Mediterranean ferryboat Captain Henry St. James, who believes in the notion of 'a girl in every port'. For Henry has a wife on both sides of the water. There is Maude (Celia Johnson) in Gibraltar and Nita (Yvonne DeCarlo) in Tangiers. Everything is perfect as long as neither woman decides to visit the other port. In 'Barnacle Bill' (1957), Guiness plays retired Navy Captain Ambrose, who buys a decrepit amusement pier in 'Sandcastle-On-Sea' planning to turn it into a going concern. But when the local council object to the idea, planning to close the pier down, Ambrose has to use some lateral thinking to save the day.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD / Box Set</i>

Riz Ahmed plays Omar, a devout British-based Muslim who forms a small terrorist group. Omar is an unconvincing leader and his team of fellow terrorists are just as unimpressive. Among them are dim-witted Waj (Kayvan Novak), shy and quiet Faisal (Adeel Akhtar) and recently-converted white Muslim, Barry (Nigel Lindsay), whose passion far outweighs his knowledge. Omar and his comrades come up with several destructive plans, including using birds as explosives and bombing mosques in an attempt to provoke non-violent Muslims. But do this rag-tag team of terrorists really pose a genuine threat to Britain?<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray</i>

The Tales of Beatrix Potter är en brittisk balettfilm från 1971 i regi av Reginald Mills. Filmen handlar om de djurkaraktärer som skapades av Beatrix Potter. Dansare från Royal Ballet gestaltar djuren, vars koreografi skapades av Frederick Ashton. Beatrix Potter spelas av Erin Geraghty.<br/><br/>Filmen hade svensk premiär den 27 december 1974 som jullovsmatiné i TV2 och redan året därpå visades den på eftermiddagen dagen före julafton, något som senare blev något av en jultradition, även om filmen inledningsvis visades på olika datum under julen.
