Gleaning is the act of gathering the leftovers from a harvest after the main, profitable crop has been taken away by the farmer. As well as examining the lives of actual gleaners, who subsist from the remnants of modern agriculture, Varda visits those who live by more modern forms of gleaning. She meets people who mine household and commercial waste for a living, a man who has lived almost completely on discarded food for over a decade despite having a job and several other intriguing characters. The picture that emerges is of an alternative form of life to throwaway, consumerist culture and a value system based on essentials rather than excess.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

While waiting for the result of a medical test, French singer Cleo (Corinne Marchand) spends a couple of hours - shown in real time - wandering through the streets of Paris. Along the way she meets up with her lover and with her composers, visits her model friend Dorothee (Dorothee Blank), has a brief affair with a passing soldier, drinks coffee and buys a new hat with her maid before finally meeting up with her doctor to receive the diagnosis.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

Played out in two acts, the film opens with the wedding of Justine (Dunst) and Michael (Alexander Skarsgård): a sumptuous affair paid for by Justine's Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and her husband John (Kiefer Sutherland). However, when Justine notices a strange star in the sky, she starts behaving oddly and the wedding is ruined. The film's second act follows Justine, now extremely weak and ill, after she goes to live with her sister. As Claire and John struggle to deal with Justine's condition, astronomy buff Claire becomes increasingly concerned about a large blue planet that is threatening to collide with the earth. Marcel Marx (André Wilms) is an ageing shoe shiner living in the French port city of Le Havre with his beloved wife Arletty (Kati Outinen). When Arletty becomes ill and is taken into hospital, Marcel takes in eight-year-old Idrissa (Blondin Miguel), an illegal immigrant boy from Africa who is trying to get to his mother in London. Marcel comes under the scrutiny of local police inspector Monet (Jean-Pierre Darroussin), but remains determined to help reunite Idrissa with his family.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

Set in an unnamed location and time, the story follows Alex (Konstantin Lavronenko), Vera (Maria Bonnevie), their young son and daughter, and Alex's brother Mark (Aleksandr Baluev), as they relocate from the city to Alex and Mark's father's old house in the country. Once there, Vera tells Alex that she is pregnant, and he believes the baby cannot be his, causing Alex to face huge personal dilemmas, wondering whether to forgive her or exact revenge. Acting on advice from his malevolent brother, Alex demands that Vera terminate the pregnancy. But when complications suddenly arise, Alex's weakening grasp on reality threatens to place events beyond his control.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>
