Los Angeles detective Philip Marlowe (Elliott Gould) smells a rat when his friend Terry Lennox (Jim Bouton), whom he has just driven to Tijuana, is accused of murder. Convinced of Lennox's innocence, Marlowe follows a convoluted trail which leads him to his friend's mistress, Eileen Wade (Nina Van Pallandt), her alcoholic husband (Sterling Hayden) and hood Marty Augustine (Mark Rydell), to whom Lennox owed a substantial sum of money. In 'No Greater Love' (1959) Kaji struggles to deal with the harsh reality of forced labour and is enlisted into the army in order to remove his dissenting presence from the camp where he works. In 'Road to Eternity' (1959) Kaji leads a group of new recruits as they are attacked by the Soviets. Vastly outnumbered and outgunned, the Japanese suffer huge casualties, leaving a demoralised Kaji to look for any survivors. Finally, 'A Soldier's Prayer' (1961) follows Kaji as he attempts to lead a band of injured soldiers and refugees away from the war zone. However, with no food or shelter and with advancing Soviet forces all around, Kaji and his group of survivors are captured and taken to a Soviet labour camp for interrogation.<br/><br/><i>Typ: Blu-ray / Box Set</i>

When five-year-old Klara (Annika Wedderkop), the daughter of Lukas's best friend Theo (Thomas Bo Larsen), tells the headmistress of the school - untruthfully - that Lukas has acted abusively towards her, the accusations quickly escalate and Lukas soon faces unanimous condemnation from everyone around him, including his closest friends. However, when Kartak spends the money on drink and luxuries he is visited by visions, memories and St Therese herself, chiding him for his failure to repay his debts.
