However, Sumner is quickly made wary of the other crew members, in particular fierce harpooner Henry Drax (Farrell), whose demeanour creates a tense and fractured atmosphere aboard the ship. However, the retiring superspy finds himself summoned back to the 'Circus' (British secret service) when it transpires that an enemy infiltrator is at work in the department. Smiley returns once again to his old department in 'Smiley's People' (1982) following the murder of his friend, General Vladimir, a Russian who once worked for British Intelligence. All eight episodes from the 12th series of the BBC drama, adapted from Jennifer Worth's memoirs, about a group of midwives working in poverty-stricken East London during the 1960s. In this series, Sister Veronica (Rebecca Gethings) joins the staff of Nonnatus House and excitement builds as Trixie (Helen George) and Matthew (Olly Rix)'s wedding day draws closer. Meanwhile, Lucille (Leonie Elliott) struggles with rising racial tensions in the community and missing her family in Jamaica.<br/><br/>The 2022 Christmas special is also included.
