"The Warriors" är en ungdomsliga i New York. De håller till på Coney Island och åker en kväll in till Bronx för ett stort möte med andra ligor - ett möte som skall stadfästa inbördes fred mellan de rivaliserande gängen. Men mötets ledare, Cyrus, blir skjuten. Och på hemvägen blir konfrontationerna med de andra gängen många och ödesdigra. "The Warriors" anklagas nämligen för att ha avlossat skottet som dödade Cyrus.

When Rostavili makes his escape, an American cop is killed.
