En gång i tiden, i ett slott, bodde en uppfinnare vars största uppfinning fick namnet Edward. Trots att Edward hade en oemotståndlig charm, var han inte riktigt perfekt. Uppfinnarens plötsliga död lämnade honom halvfärdig, med skarpa knivar som händer. Edward levde ensam i mörkret till dess en dam tog med honom hem till sin familj.
