Ett luttrat filmteam kämpar på med att slutföra en splattrig skräckis i en nedstängd militäranläggning. När inspelningen störs av en riktig zombieattack är den energiska regissörens envetna instruktion: Låt kameran rulla!<br/><br/>Regissören Michel Hazanavicius är tillbaka med en splattrig, sanslös meta- och metameta-späckad remake av Shinichiro Uedas kultrulle One Cut of the Dead (släppt av Njutafilms på streaming och DVD 2019). Final Cut lockade fram många skratt och spontana applåder hos den galaklädda premiärpubliken i Cannes där filmen öppnade hela festivalen. Vi hoppas att även den svenska publiken ska njuta av och skratta åt detta omaka filmteams bedrifter i jakten på den perfekta tagningen.<br/><br/>Hazanavicius har en lång meritlista med succékomedier bakom sig. Filmerna om OSS 117-agenten Hubert Bonisseur de La Bath med Jean Dujardin i huvudrollen banade väg mot The Artist som 2012 fick Oscars för bästa film, regi, manliga huvudroll, kostym samt filmmusik. Utöver det kammade filmen hem runt 158 andra priser runtom i världen och nominerades till otaliga andra.<br/><br/>Det är som nämnts tidigare många metanivåer i Final Cut. Håll i er nu! Bérénice Bejo, Oscarsnominerad för sin roll i The Artist, är i verkligheten gift med Hazanavicius. Dottern i filmen spelas av parets verkliga dotter Simone. Huvudrollen och regissören av zombiefilmen-i-filmen är dock inte släkt med Hazanavicius. Remi spelas av Romain Duris (Eiffel) som nästa år även dyker upp i en ny extravagant version av Alexandre Dumas klassiker De tre musketörerna.
