John Irvin

Hamburger Hill är en amerikansk krigsfilm från 1987 i regi av John Irvin. Filmen avser återge väsentliga delar av hur berget "937" intogs.<br/><br/>Den 11 maj 1969 inledde amerikanska soldater angreppet på det berg i Vietnam som på militärspråk kallades 937. Tio dagar och 11 attacker senare, nådde mindre än 200 man toppen. Över två tredjedelar av styrkan hade fallit offer för de vietnamesiska kulsprutorna och granaterna. Därför döpte man kullen till Hamburger Hill.
