While struggling to keep their new-found family together, the gang come up against all manner of foes as they attempt to help Quill to solve the mystery surrounding the true identity of his father. Finally, in 'Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3' (2023), Quill mourns the loss of his Gamora, though her surviving past self has joined the Ravagers. When Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) attacks and grievously injures Rocket, the Guardians join forces with the Ravagers to save their friend's life and must battle the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji), a dangerous eugenicist.
