Having spent much of her childhood in hospital Ivy is now in remission and her parents are worried about her mental health and ability to make friends. They enrol her in a summer camp for children with cancer which Ivy reluctantly agrees to. Although she initially keeps the other campers at arm's length, she soon realises that they are all in the same position, with some even worse off than her.
