För att slippa tristessen, och en dag komma bort från sin hemstad, har de tre vännerna Rocky (Jane Levy), Alex (Dylan Minnette) och Money (Daniel Zovatto) begått en rad välplanerade inbrott. When Weyland-Yutani forcibly extend her contract, ending any hope she has of leaving, her ex-boyfriend Tyler (Archie Renaux) persuades her to join his expedition to scavenge supplies from a derelict space station orbiting the planet which they can use to escape the colony. Tyler needs the help of Rain's adoptive brother Andy (David Jonsson), a reprogrammed synthetic human, to access the space station's systems, and Rain reluctantly agrees. However, once they enter the space station, they encounter a terrifying life form and must fight for their lives.
