Jack (Kit Connor) has nothing but admiration for Grandpa (Tom Courtenay) who was once a successful World War II pilot and now suffers from Alzheimer's disease, which has prompted his family to move him into a care home ran by the intolerable Miss Dandy (Jennifer Saunders).
