Young street artist Lola (Zaira Romero) feels the indignation of her parents when she rejects the notion of an arranged marriage and expresses her wish to become a teacher. When Lola meets Carmen (Rosy Rodríguez) she is immediately attracted to her. Recently married, Carmen is expected to bear children and become a subservient wife despite having dreams of opening her own hair salon.
