Alan (Marco Ng) is a designer and cochlear implant user whose childhood friend Wolf (Neo Yau) communicates solely using sign language and dreams of becoming a diving coach. Sophie (Suet-Ying Chung) has recently graduated from university. Her mother arranged for her to have cochlear implant surgery when she was a child because she wanted her daughter to fit in and also forbade her from learning sign language.
