Neil Young's fourth solo album remains one of the most beloved in his catalog and is dense with songs that have long-permeated radio waves. The 50th Anniversary Edition Box Sets boasting the original album, three studio outtakes, an unreleased live 1971 BBC solo performance. <br/><br/>The film Harvest Time is a previously unseen 2-hour documentary filmed in 1971, documenting the Harvest sessions. Also included in the package is a hardbound book and fold-out poster. <br/><br/>Fans of the record will receive a new glimpse into Harvest through the two DVDs included in the box set. The first is Harvest Time, an unreleased two-hour film shot during the making of Harvest, with footage from Young's 'Harvest Barn' sessions in Northern California, recording sessions in Nashville and London. The second is a film of the unreleased solo BBC Concert recorded on February 23, 1971. Also included are three outtakes tracks from the original Harvest sessions: "Bad Fog of Loneliness," "Journey Through The Past," and "Dance Dance Dance." Additionally, the hardbound book will include never-before-seen photos along with extensive liner notes by photographer Joel Bernstein.

Oceanside Countryside is the latest of Neil Young's great "lost" albums to be released as part of his Analog Original Series. The album was recorded from May to December 1977, preceding the release of Comes A Time in 1978. The two albums share the same country/folk sound, and three songs ("Goin' Back", "Human Highway" and "Field of Opportunity") appear on both albums.<br/><br/>The vinyl release of Oceanside Countryside includes some tracks that are on the CD of the same name in Neil Young's Archives Vol. III. However, this track list is how Oceanside Countryside was originally planned to be released. Recorded on tape, these are the original mixes done at the time of recording. <br/> <br/>All the songs on the "Oceanside" are performed solo by Neil Young. On "Countryside" Young is joined by a band of his friends: Ben Keith (Steel Guitar), Rufus Thibodeaux (fiddle), Karl T. Himmel (drums), Joe Osborne (bass). On "The Old Homestead" Tim Drummond plays bass and Levon Helm plays drums. "Pocahontas" is Young solo.<br/><br/>Please note that while the songs on Oceanside Countryside appear on Archives Vol.III, the versions are not always the same and the track list is the running order for the original Oceanside Countryside album. On this Analog Original vinyl release, the versions of "Lost in Space," "Captain Kennedy" and "The Old Homestead" are from Hawks & Doves in 1980. "Sail Away", "Goin' Back", "Human Highway", "It Might Have Been", and "Pocahontas" are the same versions as on Archives Vol. III in digital. "Field of Opportunity" and "Dance Dance Dance" are the original versions that have Young on backing vocals instead of Nicolette Larson as they appeared on Archives Vol.III.

Neil Young continues his Official Release Series (ORS) with the next installment of four classic titles from the 1990s. ORS Vol 6: Discs 26, 27, 28 & 29 collects HARVEST MOON, UNPLUGGED, SLEEPS WITH ANGELS and MIRROR BALL in the ongoing reissue series. <br/><br/>Each disc in the limited edition, numbered box sets will contain 4 albums with the original, historically accurate artwork and will be reissued on double vinyl LPs, while the CD box contains single CD sets per title. MIRROR BALL is an analog recording and the album has been remastered from the original analog masters by John Hanlon and Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering. Including the 14-minute song "Change Your Mind" and "Unknown Legend," it had a distinctiveness with Crazy Horse that Young achieved by keeping the sessions as spontaneous and immediate as possible allowing the tracks to breathe and come to life in real time. SLEEPS WITH ANGELS was the last album to be produced by Neil's long-time collaborator David Briggs, who passed away in 1995 at age 51, which also brings a special meaning to these recordings. <br/> <br/>MIRROR BALL (ORS Disc 29), is a double-album originally released in 1995 and recorded with Pearl Jam. Considering the Seattle band was one of the prime movers of rock bands in the 1990s, it was an event immediately upon its release, and found a rabid, younger audience and inspired long-time fans alike with its inherent high energy. Songs like "I Am The Ocean," "Throw Your Hatred Down" helped impact so much of the second half of the 1990s. <br/> <br/>The OFFICIAL RELEASE SERIES VOLUME 6 - DISCS 26, 27, 28 & 29 (ORS Vol 6) captures a large visceral part of the era, when Young was continuing his exploration of music with an unrelenting edge, in ways that he hadn't really done before. These four releases took him towards a new century, and anticipated some of the musical places he would soon explore. The songs also capture some of the massive changes that the 2000s would bring, and ways that music would take on challenges that are still very much being met.

For Neil Young, music and film have always had a very long and close relationship. Not long after the rock & roll master started making records, he turned to the movie camera. Coastal: The Soundtrack is a live recording and companion piece to the filmed, Daryl Hannah-directed tour documentary recorded during Young's 2023 Coastal solo tour.<br/><br/>The album features 11-songs selected from Young's 60-year career, recorded live on his 2023 tour, ranging from "I Am a Child" to "Vampire Blues," and featuring Young on guitars, piano and harmonica. It is as intimate a live album as Neil Young has ever recorded, created at a time when the world was coming out of hibernation from the Covid pandemic. Recorded in several cities, it is an album for the ages as the singer-songwriter finds new emotional power in 11 of his songs.
