The title song "A Part Of Me" and a couple other songs on this CD have to do with lost loved ones: Lost Loves, Lost parents, and lost family members and friends. They will always be a "Part Of Me." My father was a Professional photographer and so my childhood is well documented by him with some wonderful pictures that he left behind which I've chosen to help illustrate the title. This CD is an exciting Landmark album for me---many musicians who I've known and admired have contributed greatly to this release. Upon an initial listen, Washington DC-based guitarist and vocalist Tom Principato seems to fit nicely into the powerhouse blues-rock niche of fellow fingermen like Jimmy Thackeray or Tinsley Ellis. But a closer inspection reveals a subtle melodicism, a half-heard fill note or understated trill that marks a craftsman.
