Kneebody returns with Reach, their first studio album in six years, showcasing their singular musical vision with a reinvented lineup. Reach acts as both a rebirth for the genre-blurring quartet and a continuation of the concepts it has evolved over the past 24 years. It is also an opportunity for the band and its fans to reflect on the impact that Kneebody has had on the current musical landscape, where electric, eclectic improvised music fits comfortably on tastemaking playlists alongside indie rock, hip-hop and electronic music. Today, nearly a quarter-century after the band's founding in Los Angeles, the members of Kneebody remain committed to the group and to each other - despite their involvement in numerous other projects and the challenges of sheer geography.

The self-titled debut from the GRAMMY-nominated ensemble Kneebody meshes the improvisational skill of modern jazz with the swagger of hip hop and the conviction of rock. The result is an organic, original instrumental music that is adventurous and grooving. The band's five members bring lessons learned from their experiences backing artists such as Ani DiFranco, Jurassic 5, Snoop Dogg, Daedelus, Phil Woods, Steve Coleman, Chaka Kahn, David Murray and Ravi Coltrane to this project.
