Franklin Aretha
Aretha Louise Franklin, född 25 mars 1942 i Memphis, Tennessee, är en amerikansk soul- och R&B-sångerska.
Aretha Franklin är ett av de största namnen inom kvinnlig soul. Hon började tidigt sjunga gospel och skivdebuterade som 14-åring 1956. Hon gjorde under andra halvan 1960-talet mängder med inspelningar som kom att bli klassiska inom soulen, Respect, I Never Loved a Man och You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman är några exempel. Dessa låtar och många fler kom att ge Franklin smeknamnet The Queen of Soul.
Aretha Franklin medverkade även i filmen The Blues Brothers 1980 där hon gör ett musiknummer med låten Think.
