All Them Witches have built a career out of playing music that can not be pigeonholed into one specific genre. Nothing as the Ideal was recorded in Studio 2 at the world famous Abbey Road with the help of longtime mixing engineer Mikey Allred. The history and vibe of that setting laid the groundwork for what was to come. The band's signature psychedelic blues riffs, relentless drums, melodic bass lines and non-linear lyrics are all present. The resulting album is a thought provoking head banger that is the band's most cohesive album to date.

Plattan innehåller åtta nya låtar producerade av Grammyvinnaren Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell) och följer upp fjolårets hyllade "Dying Surfer Meets His Maker"<br/><br/>Byggstenarna på "Sleeping Through The War" är de samma som gjort All Them Witches till kultfavoriter - mycket fuzz, tunga grooves och kosmiska visioner - men flera ur på vägarna på hemmaplan och i Europa (tre turnéer 2016!) och gjort bandet extremt tight och dynamiskt och även fördjupat låtskrivandet. <br/><br/>Soundet på "Sleeping Through The War" har inspirerats av vitt skilda favoriter som Dr. Johns "Gris-Gris", Sigur Ros, Kyuss och the East. "We wrote it in about six days", berättar gitarristen Ben McLeod. "Where in the past we would have just gone ahead and written and recorded in the studio, we were like nah we're going to do it with Dave, let's be prepared. This is a repress of the band&#039;s 2014 release. Nashville-based All Them Witches impress in both their cohesiveness of sound and their obvious drive toward an individual approach. Their blend of blues rocking grooves and heavy psych-derived jamming comes through clearly, they soon became known for their engaging live shows. The foursome, who take their name from Roman Polanski&#039;s 1968 masterpiece "Rosemary&#039;s Baby". With their transfixing releases, 2012&#039;s Our Mother Electricity and 2014&#039;s Lightning At The Door, and a jam-filled live show where no two shows are the same, the band has amassed a devoted following and have become something of a sensation in the underground rock scene.

All Them Witches are known for their loud and lengthy live shows. 2020 found the band releasing their critically acclaimed album, Nothing As The Ideal. An album release from this band would traditionally be followed by a lengthy 18-month tour across the globe. Due to an international pandemic, the band's touring plans were brought to a halt. This did not stop All Them Witches from assembling in a studio to broadcast a live set for their fans. The set was roundly received as an amazing performance and fans immediately inquired as to whether or not this show would be available outside of the broadcast.
