'Sisu' (2022) is set in Finnish Lapland in 1944 where gold prospector Aatami Korpi (Tommila)'s hard work pays off and he discovers a rich gold deposit. While travelling to the nearest town with a large amount of gold nuggets, he crosses paths with a Nazi battalion led by ruthless SS Obersturmführer Bruno Helldorf (Aksel Hennie). The Nazis are destroying settlements and taking prisoners as they retreat and they want Aatami's gold. Aatami, however, is skilled and fearless and will do whatever it takes to keep what is his. The sequel 'Sisu: Road to Revenge' (2025) is set in 1946 when Aatami returns to his former home in Soviet-occupied Karelia where his family was brutally murdered during the war. He dismantles his house entirely, intent on rebuilding it somewhere safe in their honour, but when the Red Army find out about his return they send Igor Draganov (Stephen Lang), the soldier who killed Aatami's family, to kill him. Unfortunately for Igor, Aatami is ready to fight to avenge his family and will not die easily, no matter how many men they send after him.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD</i>

The complete series of the wartime drama, starring Anthony Andrews (Ivanhoe) as young officer Brian Ash, who joins the UXB unit during the Blitz, the military organisation responsible for defusing unexploded German bombs. Following Brian through training and as he gains more experience as an officer, the series also follows his growing love for his girlfriend Susan (Judy Geeson), in a world wracked by war. Includes all episodes.

Detta är en riktigt bra film om en kvinnas kamp för livet och flykten från den tyska krigsmaskinen. Regissören Paul Verhoeven har ju tidigare gjort filmer som Basic instinct och Total Recall så detta är verkligen nyskapande från hans sida.

An American destroyer detects a German U-boat and the US commander, Captain Murrell (Robert Mitchum), embarks on a game of cat and mouse with his German counterpart (Curt Jurgens). Walter Rossi won an Oscar for his special effects. Whilst 'Sink the Bismarck!' is Lewis Gilbert's dramatic re-telling of the Allied mission in the Spring of 1941 to find and destroy Germany's largest battleship, the Bismarck. The story is told from two angles, the ships involved and the war-room in London where Captain John Shepherd (Kenneth More) plots the manouevres using models of the ships. Shepherd has an emotional reason for wanting the battleship sunk, his wife was recently killed in a German raid on London and his son is missing in action, and struggles to keep his emotions in line whilst making decisions that effect hundreds of lives. The final scenes are a mixture of newsreel of the battle and up-dated special effects.<br/><br/><i>Typ: DVD / Widescreen Box Set</i>
